The XL4015 is a fixed frequency PWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter operating at 180 KHz. It can efficiently drive a 5A load while maintaining low ripple and excellent line and load regulation. Designed for simplicity, it requires a minimal number of external components and includes internal frequency compensation along with a fixed-frequency oscillator. The PWM control circuit adjusts the duty ratio linearly from 0% to 100%. It features built-in overcurrent protection, which reduces the operating frequency from 180 KHz to 48 KHz in the event of a short circuit.
